I know i should be active
I know i should eat better
I know i should get a job
I know i should stop smoking
I know i should walk my dog
I know i should save for retirement
I know i should spend time with my family
I know i should get organized
I know i should be more motivated
I know i should work on my road rage
What is keeping us from doing what we know we need to do!?? Is it that we don’t really care or have the time? Or is it more?…
Recently, I knew I should be doing more for my business by presenting our program to the community in person. And it wasn’t that I didn’t care or have the time; it was because of my subconscious mind!
What is a subconscious mind? Here’s what I found:
The unconscious constantly communicates with the conscious mind via our subconscious, and is what provides us with the meaning to all our interactions with the world, as filtered through your beliefs and habits. It communicates through feelings, emotions, imagination, sensations, and dreams.
So apparently this little filter is the reason for this internal struggle of knowing but not doing..
I thought if my subconscious could be “conditioned” or “upgraded” to how I prefer to live my life currently, that would solve a lot of my internal struggles to do more.
If you haven’t heard of hypnosis before, here’s what i found:
The induction of a state of consciousness in which a person apparently loses the power of voluntary action and is highly responsive to suggestion or direction. Its use in therapy, typically to recover suppressed memories or to allow modification of behavior by suggestion, has been revived but is still controversial.
I’m guessing that first part means we’re entering into the subconscious and is the opportunity to correct those outdated thoughts and feelings. After a few self hypno sessions at night; using a free hypnosis on youtube, I started to feel different/more confident pretty immediately! That really jump started me toward a lot of other home made practices that helped me correct my subconscious to do what I want to do!
So whatever it is that you know you need to do but can’t, work with your subconscious and find ways to work with your brain to accomplish your goals.
Every person has incredible power within that just needs tapping into. Everything begins with the mind.
